WNC Bride, Debbie Dearborn, Gets Local with Her Wedding Dress

This post comes our way from talented photographer, Sunday Grant, who photographed the wedding of Debbie and Ben at Deer Creek Run in Weaverville, and features this unique dress from Brooke Priddy.

Debbie sent us a great description of working with Brooke on her dress:

"Working with Brooke was an amazing experience, I feel fortunate to have such a talented lady create my wedding dress.  I never had a clear vision of what my wedding dress would look like, I had never really given it much thought before i became engaged.  Brooke was able to draw a beautiful sketch form magazine clippings, my vague descriptions and a few vintage buttons.  Each visit with her we drank tea, laughed, draped fabric, layered and unveiled something new to discover, birthing this creation that is "the dress". It was exhilarating to see the collaborative vision come to life!.  As talented as Brooke is, she is just as humble and a very dear friend. I treasure this experience, it was so much fun and the result was beyond anything I could have envisioned, I have never felt so beautiful.  

Amber from Vintage Vanity was suggested to me by Brooke to create a pair of earrings out of the extra vintage buttons. I sent her an image of the vintage buttons sewn on my dress given to me by a dear friend.  She then sketched several designs to choose from. The result was a beautiful pair of earrings and when paired with my dress looked amazing."
